The Every Local's Centre installation is a testament to modernity, inclusivity, and technological innovation. It serves as a platform to introduce the My District urban development program and provide key data on its implementation to participants of the Moscow Urban Forum. The program aims to ensure the balanced development of all the city's districts, offering access to high-quality infrastructure, a comfortable environment, and the uniqueness of each district.
The exhibition booth itself is a work of art, designed as an interactive science-tech object. Its cube-shaped structure is made of black plate-glass mirror, creating an immersive experience for visitors. The outer surfaces, walls, and floor of the booth display drone videos and 3D motion design content specifically produced for the project, further enhancing the visual impact.
The installation features 17 integrated mechanisms of three different types, housed in the central part of the structure. LED panels cover all exterior surfaces, creating a dynamic and engaging display. Inside the cube, there are two types of landscape models. The lower level showcases a realistic transformable city model that changes depending on the user's choice, while the higher level features an acrylic city model with integrated manageable lights. The floor is made of triplex glass, and the exterior walls of the booth are made of vinyl cloths, both equipped with integrated LED screens.
The Every Local's Centre installation offers two modes of operation. In the demo mode, the installation automatically presents the digital city model and the district's convertible model. In the user's mode, visitors can interact with the installation using an iPad and custom-made software. This mode allows users to control both the content displayed and the kinetic parts of the installation, providing a personalized and engaging experience.
The development of the Every Local's Centre installation was not without its challenges. The engineering solution required for the integrated mechanisms was unique and technically complex, resulting in additional time for development, building, and testing. However, the final result is a testament to the dedication and expertise of the design team.
The Every Local's Centre installation was exhibited at the Mosurbanforum in July 2019, following its completion in Moscow. It serves as a shining example of how art, design, and technology can come together to create a visually striking and informative experience.
This design has been recognized for its excellence and innovation. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Interface, Interaction, and User Experience Design category in 2020. This prestigious award acknowledges the design's practicality, innovation, and adherence to professional and industrial requirements. The Every Local's Centre installation is respected for integrating industry best practices, competent technical characteristics, and its contribution to a better world.
